About Pastor Troy
Troy DeFeo is the founder and leader of One Day Ministries. He has over 30 years of experience as a pastor, counselor, educator, and community leader. He has served in various roles, including youth pastor, children’s director, family pastor, and senior pastor, providing guidance and support for spiritual growth, recovery, and community connection. Troy has been doing christian consulting and pastoral care since 1995.
Troy earned a degree in Family Counseling from Texas Tech University and has been a licensed and ordained pastor since 1999. He also served as a public school educator for over 15 years, further extending his commitment to helping others. Troy has dedicated his life to serving his community through faith-based care and leadership.

Pastor Troy offers over 33 years of experience helping churches navigate conflicts such as leadership splits, trust issues, and pastoral concerns. He provides mediation, conflict resolution, and assistance in interviewing pastors and staff candidates for smooth transitions.

Ceremonies & Planning
- Wedding Planning & Ceremony:
Christian-only weddings (between man and woman, following Biblical standards). A minimum of two premarital counseling sessions is required. - Funeral Services:
Includes meeting with family, memorial/celebration of life service, and interment.
Legal & Practical Support
- Notary Services (Mobile):
Bonded, insured, and commissioned in Texas. Charges are per stamp/hour. - Family Estate Assistance:
Guidance with wills, POAs, physician directives, HIPAA forms, and more. - Resume Building & Job Placement:
Assistance with resumes and career referrals. Head-hunter referral costs apply if hired.
Family & Church Support
- Family Intervention:
Help with issues related to drug, alcohol, or abuse. Divorce mediation and private case work (licensed in Texas through Granger Security Academy). - Church Conflict Resolution & Pastoral Support:
Assisting with marriage issues, staffing conflicts, sexual addictions, and more. Includes resources for starting and operating a church, sermon preparation, discipleship, and various ministries.

Missions
Joseph's House: DFW

Global Missions
We are actively involved in missions across India and Mexico, partnering with the International Mission Board (IMB) to spread the Gospel. We support the Lottie Moon Offering, assist Gladys Moore in her ministry, and support the Texas Baptist Men to serve needy communities.
Homeless Care
Living Hope Baptist Church has assisted the DFW community since 1990 (changed name in 2001 from Lyons Rd. Baptist Church.) We have worked almost weekly with the homeless for food, toiletries, job placement, clothes, shelter, and new bikes.
